Class or Workshop Description

The Parent (Birth Preparation & Newborn Care) Course is a 15-hour course for expectant parents, delivered over 6 consecutive weekday evenings. The course will help you and your partner confidently prepare for birth and life with baby. Over the duration of the course, you will learn all you need to know about birth, infant feeding and how to care for your baby in the early weeks and months of parenthood. Drawing on elements of active birth, hypnobirthing, parentcraft and traditional antenatal classes, this course is packed full of tools, techniques, evidence-based information and practical demonstrations. From birth plans to massage in labour, informed choices to packing hospital bags, feeding your baby to changing their nappy. We’ve got you covered with all the essential education and support you’ll need. And the best bit – you can complete the full course (and receive a discount of £30) or just choose the elements that are right for you! Your course will cover: Birth Preparation Session – Week 1, 2 and 3 Infant Feeding Choices – Week 4 Newborn Care – Week 5 and 6 Investment: Per birthing couple • Full 6-week course (6 x 2.5 hour sessions) £240 (with a £30 discount applied) Important Class Information: The Parent Course is ideal to attend from around 25 weeks of pregnancy right up until baby’s birth and we support all birth and parenting choices. The ticket price is for the birthing person plus their birthing partner, but you are welcome to attend on your own or with another birth supporter. The dates of this course are: • Monday 28th October - Birth Preparation • Monday 4th November - Birth Preparation • Monday 11th November - Birth Preparation • Monday 18th November - Infant Feeding • Monday 25th November - Newborn Care • Monday 2nd December - Newborn Care When: Monday evenings: 7pm-9:30pm Where: Holyrood Early Years Centre, 233 Thelwell New Rd, Grappenhall, Warrington, WA4 2XT Duration: 15 hours of content delivered in a series of 6 x 2.5 hour sessions PLUS a meet up once all the babies have arrived. Spaces can be booked by either paying the full amount of £240 or by a £50 deposit, with the final balance of £190 due 3 weeks prior to the course start date.
