Firstly let me introduce myself...

Hi, I am Jo, the founder of Bumps in Bloom (formerly The Daisy Foundation for Warrington and Lymm) and I am a qualified Perinatal Educator, a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and a Mum of two gorgeous girls. I’m passionate about supporting and empowering women especially when it comes to all things pregnancy, birth, baby and breastfeeding.

I trained with the Daisy Foundation in holistic Perinatal Practice which means I deliver classes and workshops to support you and your family from pregnancy through the first 1001 days. With classes and workshops including yoga based movements, hypnobirthing techniques, active birthing, birth preparation, new-born care, infant feeding, baby massage, baby yoga, baby weaning and infant sleep.

I can’t wait to start giving you the tools and time you need to feel calm, confident, empowered and informed on your journey from pregnancy to early parenthood.

How Bumps in Bloom was born

My journey to Bumps in Bloom began with a simple vision: to provide continuity of care and empowering support to women and their families so that they experience a confident, informed, and joyful journey from pregnancy to parenthood.

Enabling a confident, informed and joyful experience from pregnancy to parenthood.

After my first little one was born I went back to my current employment but soon realised that this was not my true calling; like many women my needs, desires and values had changed. After spending a period of time volunteering as a breastfeeding peer supporter I discovered my passion for helping women feel empowered and supported. I then fell pregnant with my second little one and it was during this pregnancy that I sought out comprehensive antenatal classes for a better, more informed and empowering birth experience as my first birth experience had been challenging. I will never forget that feeling of empowerment and the confidence I gained from my antenatal classes with the Daisy Foundation in my body and baby that led me to the decision to have a home birth.

During the 2020 lockdown I really noticed the difference in my maternity leave second time round; the not having access to mum and baby support groups, not being able to find friendship with people on the same journey and not being able to share and learn.  There were some online options but respectfully they weren't able to provide the same personalised feel or provide the same level of support. This experience really made me value the need for community, a mummy network and again I had another lightbulb movement, I was inspired. In that moment I knew what I wanted to do.

This inspired me to take the next big step into becoming qualified as a Perinatal Educator and creating a vocation that allowed me to achieve my vision. It almost felt like fate when I received an email from The Daisy Foundation in 2021 (who I had done my antenatal classes with) informing me of the oppertunity to train as a Independent Perinatal Educator. In October 2022 I completed my training with The Daisy Foundation and this marked the start of a business dedicated to supporting women and their families on their journey from pregnancy to parenthood.

Mother and Baby

In August 2023 sadly, The Daisy Foundation decided to cease trading but this was not the end of my journey. I was committed to delivering my vision and passionate about informing, supporting and empowering as many women and parents as I can through their pregnancy, birth and parenthood journey. By giving them the tools and knowledge hence gaining confidence to be able to make informed decisions, navigate their own personal journeys and take control to have their most positive experiences.

In September 2023 Bumps in Bloom was born! I am proud to offer a range of services that have been created with love and care. From Active Antenatal classes for mum to  prepare mind and body to birth and baby preparation classes for the birthing team to prepare together to gentle and empowering Baby and Me classes including Baby Massage and Baby Yoga. My range of services provide practical tools, evidence based information and a sense of community, fostering confidence and well being.

What sets us apart is our commitment to continuity of care.

My small intimate class sizes and personalised approach ensures that every mum receives the attention she deserves. I create a safe, non judgemental space for women to share their experiences and build lasting friendships . Our community extends beyond the classroom with ongoing support through a strong private facebook community group, Whatsapp chats, social outings with other mums (join us for coffee and cake or a walk and talk in the park) or 121 support direct with me.

At the heart of my business is a dedication to creating a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment. Every aspect of our services reflects my passion for supporting women and their families. I believe in the power of community and making every mother feel special and empowered.

It brings me so much joy and excitement to curate an experience that allows mums to feel the difference that personalised, compassionate care can make.
